The accelerated growth of the global space industry is driving the need for international strategic cooperation. This joint study by STEPI and ITRI analyzes the space policies and capabilities of Taiwan and South Korea to derive practical cooperation measures. Based on expert surveys, the study identifies 15 cooperation areas categorized into three types. Priority areas for immediate cooperation include talent development, earth science applications, and startup supply chains. Potential areas requiring mid-to-long-term foundations include space semiconductors and deep space exploration. For areas with perception gaps, pilot projects are recommended to build trust. Finally, a regular "Taiwan-Korea Space Cooperation Policy Dialogue" is proposed to ensure long-term collaboration.
