Cybersecurity startups have emerged one after another in Taiwan during recent years. For example, Devcore was founded in 2012, CyCraft Technology and Pentium Network (PNTL) in 2017 and TXOne Networks was set up by Trend Micro and Moxa in 2019. In May 2022, Trend Micro announced the establishment of VicOne, an automotive cybersecurity company. Some of these cybersecurity startups have joined SEMI Taiwan Cybersecurity Committee to assist with the advocacy of SEMI E187 Specification for Cybersecurity of Fab Equipment or signed up with Hon Hai’s Mobility In Harmony Open EV Platform or are involved in both organizations. All of which demonstrate the ever-growing demand for cybersecurity in the semiconductor industry and the internet-of-vehicles industry..
