簡報大綱

ITRI IEK General Director Stephen Su was invited to give a presentation on “Free Economic Pilot Zones (FEPZs) Leads Taiwan New Economy” at the 2013 Taiwan Investment Environment and Industry Opportunities Seminar hosted by MOEA Department of Investment Services (DOIS) on Nov. 6, 2013. Taiwan’s FEPZ will become a critical stepping stone for helping local industries to move forward, improving interaction with neighboring regions, and facilitating flow of various resources. Standing still by Taiwan will cause it to be left behind by other regional economies. Therefore Taiwan should continue to promote liberalization of trade regulations to attract foreign companies in Taiwan, hence expanding its global partnership in many countries. The combined competitive advantages of Taiwan’s technology and culture can become the cornerstones for developing successful FEPZ, if properly integrated with courage, determination and leap of faith. Embracing “Innovation, Openness, and International Linkage” is the only way for Taiwan to embark on industry transformation and economic comeback.

工研院IEK蘇孟宗主任受邀參加2013年11月6日由經濟部投資事業處主辦之《2013台灣投資環境及商機研討會》，並發表「自由經濟示範區帶動台灣新經濟」演說。台灣自由經濟示範區（FEPZ）勢必成為產業進步關鍵，促進其與周邊地區交流，有助於各項資源流動。若站在原地，則可能被其餘經濟體系拋諸身後。台灣應持續推動自由化貿易法規，以吸引既有在台外商，並使合作夥伴擴及各國。若能適當結合勇氣、決心及信念，台灣的技術優勢和文化優勢將同時能成為自由經濟示範區（FEPZ）成功發展之基石。「創新、開放、國際連結」將是台灣試圖產業轉型及經濟再起非走不可之路。
