        簡報大綱

Mr. Stephen Su, General Director of IEK, delivered a presentation on “Trends and Career Challenge of Consumer Electronics Industry” at the 17th IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE 2013). In this presentation, Stephen talked about the status of Post-PC Era and how Apple Steve Jobs defined Post-PC devices as anything with specific functions. He also pointed out among the 12 disruptive technologies to transform global economy in 2025 as analyzed by McKinsey, the near-term impact from Shale Gas development in US will be more far reaching than 3D printing which is being greatly mentioned by media. For the next wave on Human Machine Interaction (HMI) technology, it will follow the path of baby’s development on human senses. By 2025 the focus of HMI will be on Touch-less with a combination of different senses. Finally he pointed out Taiwan’s future will need to be driven by Innovation and Industrialization. How to control “Service-based Applications Ecosystem” and “work smart” will be critical to overcome Taiwan’s own limitation.

        Outline:

        • Overview of Global Trends
        • Next Wave on Human Technology
        • Conclusion: Innovation and Industrialization

We are very pleased to present his presentation in PDF format for your reference.
